Fashion notes: The Sanremo Festival between styles, looks, and trends

Note di moda: il Festival di Sanremo tra stili, look e tendenze

The magic of the Sanremo Festival has manifested itself once again this year, not only through musical notes but also through the looks that have dominated the stage. For the umpteenth time, if there were ever any need, the Festival of Italian Song has confirmed itself as a showcase of styles and trends.

Between songs, runways, and shows, the artists have transformed their looks into essential components of their artistic expression: their outfits were not just a way to present themselves to the public, but also a means to communicate their emotions.

But let's get to what happened this year in terms of fashion at the Festival.

What happened this year with Festival fashion

As is now known, the victory went to Angelina Mango, followed by Neapolitan rapper Geolier and Annalisa. However, much more happened in terms of style and fashion as well.

From veterans of the Italian music scene, such as Emma Marrone, Negramaro, Mahmood, and Annalisa, to new talents like Angelina Mango, Big Mama, and Geolier, everyone performed with style on the most important stage in the country.

Among the most unique looks were those of Loredana Bertè and Rose Villain, who also brought out their personalities through their outfits, and those of Big Mama, who brought the urgency of certain social messages into the spotlight with the awareness of someone who lives what they wear.
There were many outfits that added a touch of eccentricity to the various evenings, as well as many total black looks that dominated the scene. Among these, those of Clara and Mahmood stand out, with the latter bringing fashion "fully" into his song ("Tuta gold"). Among the black-dominated looks, the sensual elegance of Annalisa stands out.

We cannot forget the class, without ifs or buts, of Fiorella Mannoia, who at almost 70 years old, always distinguishes herself with elegance and style.

This will also be remembered as an edition in which menswear looks were often genderless. Among the most credible singing representatives of this wave of glamour with beards and mustaches were the handsome and sexy Santi Francesi, winners of X Factor.

The looks of the co-hosts

Marco Mengoni, co-host of the opening night of the Festival of Italian Song, brought a contemporary and charismatic elegance to the stage.

On the second night, Giorgia opted for outfits that exuded refinement and impeccable attention to style, which developed on that thin line between masculine and feminine representation, with an elegance that evoked the flapper girl era.

The third night highlighted the sexy and ironic intelligence of Teresa Mannino, who sported an exhilarating and sparkling style with feathers and tailored trousers. For her, too, the rule applies that one tells their story on the Ariston stage through their looks as well, with coherence and personality.

Lorella Cuccarini, co-host of the night dedicated to covers, conveyed her charisma and contagious energy to the audience. On stage, she sported looks that paid homage to the rich history of Italian fashion, in a true triumph of elegance and charm.

On the final night, it was Fiorello's turn to capture the audience's attention upon entering the Ariston stage in an elegant black suit, embellished with luminous details. A style that perfectly reflects his nature as a glamorous and eccentric showman.

Amadeus's looks

Every evening, Amadeus sported various jewel-tuxedos, embroidered with crystals. This was the host's signature suit for the entire event. A full 25 tuxedos were created for Amadeus, from which he could choose what to wear for the different nights of the festival.

The colors, in addition to classic black, included ocean blue, cobalt blue, white, gold, silver, and peony.

The Sanremo Festival has once again underscored the importance of the look for artists—and not only them—as a fundamental element for expressing one's personality.

Famous people often choose bold and refined looks, but you can do it too in your everyday life with pieces from the Artigli Collection.
The New Collection will soon be available online, allowing you to add a touch of elegance and style to your daily life.
